World Pharmacist’s Day

Details: World Pharmacist’s Day is celebrated round the globe and was launched by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), with the organization's council choosing to establish the event in the late 2000s during a meeting in Istanbul, Turkey. The goal of the day is to draw attention to pharmacies and the good health advantages they provide, and FIP urges all its members to participate for the event to be a success. The theme of this year was "Pharmacist: always trusted for your health". According to FIP, there is a substantial relationship between trust in healthcare providers and patient health outcomes. Patients with more confidence in their healthcare practitioners reported better satisfaction with treatment, more positive health behaviors and fewer symptoms, and an enhanced quality of life across a variety of clinical settings. PRPPCOP celebrated World Pharmacist's Day virtually with students. Teachers were present for the eve in person. Dr. Mukund G. Tawar addressed with the role and importance of pharmacists in the society. He said, "Pharmacist is the person who knows manufacturing, precautions, and prescribing medicine. Thus is the only person to be trusted for the patient's health." A Poster with slogan competition was also Organized for students. Miss. Harsha Indoria won the first rank, while 2nd Rank was shared by Miss. Akshaya Arbat along with Miss. Dhanyanti Rathod and Miss. Sakshi Charhate shared 3rd rank with Mr. Ram Raut from B. Pharm. 2nd Year. Winners were congratulated with the e-certificate from college.
